Glossary

Organised health services - services that are regulated and/or supervised by government

Unorganised health services - services that are mostly unregulated and unsupervised by government

Formal health service providers - broadly speaking, are organisations, groups or individuals whose activities are legal; fully trained; registered with a regulatory body and based at a fixed location

Informal health service providers - broadly speaking, are organisations, groups or individuals whose activities are not fully legal; not fully qualified; not registered with a regulatory body and often not based at a fixed location
