Centre for Health Economics, University of York, UK
A specialist health economics research unit. CHE's international programme

Commission on Macroeconomics and Health (CMH)
Between 2000 and 2002 the CMH analysed the impact of health on development
and identified key areas for investment. Its final report and those

for Research on Equitable Health Systems (CREHS)
Working to generate knowledge to strengthen health system policies and
interventions to benefit the poorest. Also aims to strengthen the capacity

European Centre on Health of Societies in Transition (ECOHOST)
ECOHOST, based at LSHTM, conducts research and analyses policy on
health and healthcare in the transition countries of Eastern Europe.

Health

A DFID-funded research
programme that aims is to understand the factors that constrain health
systems from meeting the needs of the poor, and to critically assess

Health Systems Resource Centre (HSRC)
Provides access to technical assistance, knowledge and information
in support of pro-poor health policies, financing and health services
for DFID and its partners. It provides resources based on the DFID policy.

The HSRG was created with Eldis in partnership with the HSRC. It

Institute for Health Sector Development (IHSD)
IHSD works to strengthen health systems and improve health status
in low and middle income countries. Its services include consultancy,

International Federation of Medical Student Associations (IFMSA)
The IFMSA is an independent association that represents over 2 million
medical students worldwide. It runs a range of workshops, seminars and

The site provides

is the global organisation concerned with education and training of
medical doctors. It's activities cover all stages of medical education.
